Somehow, suddenly, for the first time... RPS looks somewhat...less than awe inspiring and more...slap-stick...when set side to side with Murphy. Like two very small men, one on the other's shoulders, marching off the side of a cliff...they might snip a foot off just above the ankle. They might deliver a concussion which will eventualy give her early memory-loss, they might...tickle her...no, wait, they couldn't since she's got a neon-scythe-thing which is longer than they are tall. This time I just can't see how he/they/it would win.
At first I was planning to vote for RPS since he has been a secret favorite of mine, and that was my comlplete intention, but then I remembered Murphy's Law-- if the plan can possibly go wrong, it probably will.
And so...Slap-stick!!

Murphy is a strong contender here, with her unique lazer scythe and sporting abilities but I don't think RPS should be seen as the weaker of the two here. He's holding aloft a boulder for starters and the lack of fancy armour (or clothes) reassures that his hide is indeed leathery and able to take a few solid attacks. Murphy might avoid punishment from the rock and the scissors but if I was relying on being sporty against that magic mumbojumbo, I'd be more than worried. Go get her, Gramps!

Except for the slow creaking of an ancient book-spine and the squeak of un-oiled historic scissors, Rockpaperscissors approaches silently.
Murphy makes a quick gesture of her weapon followed by the singular crash of it being destroyed by an enormous boulder. The arena shakes with the impact, making me spill my drink into my lap. I refuse to take my eyes off of the ensuing mess as I brush the ice and soda from my jeans.
With a rush of wind like a jet passing over head, *snip, snip!
Murphy's shin guards are damaged and impair her movement as Rockpaperscissors comes in for his final moves. The crown stands, and in unison points thumbs down.
